Night Glow Swimming Bristol — Moonlit Open Water Sessions at West Country Water Park
Bristol’s most magical open water experience — swim under the stars on our natural lake in Winterbourne, North Bristol. Just 8 miles from Bristol city centre, with RLSS-trained lifeguards, illuminated tow floats, and hot food and drinks in the café afterwards.
Swim Under the Stars
Night Glow Swimming is our signature evening event — open water sessions on our natural Winterbourne lake after dark, lit by glowing tow floats and guided by our RLSS-trained lifeguard team. Whether it’s your first open water swim or you’re a regular, there’s nothing quite like slipping into the lake as the sun goes down and the water turns glass-calm.

Yes. Our lakeside café serves a variety of food and drinks right on the water's edge. Please do not bring your own food or drink on site.
For the safety and comfort of all guests, dogs are not permitted inside the water park. This keeps the water clean and hygienic and prevents accidents near the water. We appreciate your understanding.
We don't allow food and drinks from outside the premises to be consumed on site. Our lakeside café stocks a range of hot and cold food and drink options, and additional catering can be added to packages at checkout.
Yes. Lockers are free to use but you will need to bring a padlock. Lockers are for valuables only — other belongings can be stored in the cubby holes located outside the toilets.
Due to storage, staffing, and liability constraints we are unable to manage lost property. If you think you have left a personal belonging, please return to the park to collect it. We cannot offer any further assistance with personal belongings.
Yes — booking online in advance is essential to secure our best rates and your place. Walk-ins on the day are subject to availability and are charged at full price (an additional £2 per activity).
Please arrive 30 minutes before your session start time. This allows time for check-in, changing, and a safety briefing.
We will not allow anyone onto the park once a session has started. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your session is due to begin.
Unfortunately there are no refunds for any payments made, including if a member of your group cannot attend.
You can transfer your booking space to another person — whoever participates must complete a waiver and follow our terms and conditions.
Up to 3 days before your session you may change the date and time yourself via your account at westcountrywaterpark.co.uk → Book Now → My Tickets. Less than 3 days before your session, contact us at hello@westcountrywaterpark.co.uk. A £5 admin fee applies to all booking amendments.

Depending on the severity, your session may be cancelled. If we cancel, we will refund your ticket or rebook you onto another convenient session.
You'll have even more fun! You'll almost certainly be getting wet on the Aquapark anyway, so rain won't spoil your session. If you tend to get cold, please hire a wetsuit or bring your own.

No — cameras, action cameras (such as GoPros), and phones are not permitted on the inflatable AquaPark course. Loose items become hazards on the course and put other participants at risk. You are welcome to take photos and videos from the water's edge and viewing areas.
For your safety, please wear swimwear only during standard sessions. We do run special fancy-dress sessions — check our website or social media for upcoming events.
We get very busy, so we recommend booking 2–3 months in advance. However, you may book up to 10 days before the date.
Our packages are suitable for all celebrations. Adult parties offer different catering options — for example, hen parties can choose a Cream Tea and Prosecco option.
